There is a Chinese calendar that is supposed to be able to predict the sex of the baby. Like, you have sex to get pregnant on certain days... and it will be a boy or a girl, respectively. It's surprisingly accurate. =O

If you crave things when pregnant the baby will like it too. I hate tomatoes and when pg with my daughter I loved them hot off the vine with salt and pepper, she is the only child who loves tomatoes. Not a superstition I guess. Lets see... what ever sex of a child you dream about while pregnant will be the sex of the baby.

My granny always told me that if you were craving sweets during your pregnancy, you would give birth to a girl.
If the baby sits low on your body, it will be a boy.

one I've heard a lot is...If you crave spicy foods it's a boy, if you crave sweets it's a girl...well, I ate jalepeno's for the first 3 months and guess what...girl :)
I've also heard the way you carry will determine the sex as well as how big your butt gets :) I have found though that a mothers intuition is usually the best judge :)

My grandmother has a birth mark of a oak leaf on her hip, where she said her mother got startled in the yard , had a leaf in her hand , and grabbed her hip when startled and it marked the baby ( my grandmother). Not sure if its true but I was cooking and burned my stomich from bacon greese popping and my kid has a simulair mark on his stomich. a birth mark.

if the mom looks pleasant througout her pregnancy the baby will be a girl, if not the baby's a boy

If you go through a metal detector while pregnant you will spontaneously abort. You will also be sterilized.
