Ok.....why are we always reading each other's mind? I guess people really are strange when they are strangers! But seriously.......another friend and I were just discussing this this morning.
I don't think you can or should judge a person by the company they keep. I guess I've realized that if people did this to me I'd be totally out of luck. I have such a diverse crew of friends that I bet it is hard for people on the outside to fathom what that means about me. But the point is..........there are traits about so many people that are awesome that you never really find until you truly stop and take the time to get to know them. Someone could truly come across as a true ickmeister on the outside but could open up to the true loving self when given the opportunity to have a friend that allows them to be themself. Were another to judge this person for hanging with the ickmeister........what a true shame that would be. *sigh* For this person could be someone truly unique themselves.
Sure there will always be exceptions. Keeping company with a murderer would probably be.... uhm interesting . But I suppose what my point is........everyone has a soul....everyone has a heart. We all hurt....we all bleed. We are all basically the same package with little quirky differences that define us. To judge another would be to judge yourself.

No, not true at all. Only ignorant people would do that. So if you have a gay friend its ok for me to say that you too are gay, even though you know you are not. That wouldn't be fair to you. I have friends who have been to prison, deal drugs, are gang members and yet I have never done the things they have done. That doesn't mean they cant be good friends. Never judge a book by its cover. Sometimes the person you least expect will lend a helping hand. If you are gonna live your life worried about what everyone thinks about you then don't go out. If someone cant accept you for who you are or who your friends are then they shouldn't be your friend.

I would judge a person by their actions, or the content of their character. I don't really care about company: I had a Jewish friend, one of my best friends was Gypsies, but also a few Nazi friends, people who where in the punk stuff, others in death metal, so I wouldn't judge anyone by his company. Plus, Actions speak louder than words !!!
I will provide you with a better judgment
Put them in a stressful situation.
You'll see their real character in about 4 seconds.

It may be possible, to learn some characteristics of a person by the company they keep, but to judge there character by that company, no man can do. (because he don't know)

I think you totally can…not completely but you can get somewhat of a idea how a person is with the company they keep….i mean to be friends with someone you need to have at least something in common…I have tons of friends who’re very different from me but there’s always something that keeps us together and connects me with all of them…a weird sense of humor, or understanding or our morals , our view on life or something important like that…I think they can have different habits, hobbies, style but the core has to be same…I’m talken about the sort of person they really our deep inside.. ..like I would never wanna be friends with someone who doesn’t respect other people or is rude. or someone who isn’t down to earth just stuff like that..:)

Yes for some people especially those either at the lower or higher ranks of society......like tend to mix with like.
In the middle ........you get all kinds. Depends on background, education, character......etc. Some people really associate only with their peers but others have a variety because they fulfill different needs or hobbies, interests.....
Don't ask me.........I am a free-mason :-)

Yes. The older I get the more I learn how true this and other statements are, like birds of a feather flock together, very, very true.

As I was growing up my folks used to tell me, That you could tell what type of person he or she may be just by their hand shake
weak or strong, positive attitude or not sure of themselves.
And by also looking at their shoes, whether they are clean or dirty.
Shows respect for him or her self or doesn't give a sh*t
So my answer is YES!.
