Usually anger or rage is a secondary emotion. If you look at the roots of something you will find the real emotion behind it is fear. Fear of losing something you have, not getting something you think you have to have, and frustration that someone will take it away or they already have it. We don't have to take it, we can learn to stay calm in the midst of chaos. Ask yourself how important is it, a 100 years from now will it be important then. Everything changes ,trying to hang onto something is fruitless and most times when you get what you want you find out your still not satisfied anyway. Ever notice how the people that are raging, say that its all about me,me,me, very self centered. And many times its a control issue, feel in control, feel less scared, then less angry, because things are going my way. Only spiritual happiness is really satisfying.. Lotusrain

Because there is so much stress in life. You take crap from your boss, the kids, your spouse, the neighbors, friends, etc. and you have to make nice (most people). But in the car you are anonymous and take your rage out on unsuspecting people. When I worked at a very stressful job, when I had an especially bad day, I noticed my driving was atrocious. I had to make a conscious effort to stay calm while my fellow raging motorists were trying to release their hostility behind the wheel.

I'm a road raging *****.
Alot of people don't know how to drive on freeways. If I'm behind you and we are going 65 in a 65 and I CAN"T pass you cause you are in the FAST lane, when you see me flick my lights for the 8th time.... move the F out of my way.

I'm good to berate the fuc out of people who annoy me while driving. I have gone off on people and they never HEARD what I said, but I know they knew, what I was getting at.

pretty much every single traffic jam you encounter is because either someone who shouldn't be allowed to drive, got in an accident. OR idiots who have never seen an accident gawk and stare at the idiot who did get in an accident and therefore cause another accident in the process. Plus, people nowadays can't drive for sh*it so that tends to irritate those, like me, who can drive.

I experience road rage on occasion. I get angry because I have no control over a situation that is totally aggravating me! I never honk my horn or express my rage, but I feel it.

PEOPLE GET INTO BIG OF A HURRY. THEN THEY BLAME BEING LATE ON EVERYONE ELSE. JUST GIVES THEM AN EXCUSE TO LASH OUT. TAKE A DEEP BREATH AND COUNT TO 10 FOR PETE'S SAKE. WHAT THE BIG DEAL IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE LATE YOU ARE LATE REGARDLESS IF IT IS 10 MINUTES OR 20 YOU ARE STILL LATE.

Is just that sometimes people drive really stupidly and sometimes, if you don't brake in time, you could end up crashing them. People, keep your eyes on the ROAD!!!!!
