It wasn't so much a bad draft talent-wise...it's just that the level of talent can't compete with that of years past. We've been lucky in the past few years to see the introduction of future superstars such as Lebron, Carmelo, Bosh, Wade, Dwight Howard, Chris Paul, Amare, etc...to enter the League. Keep in mind that in years past high school stars were allowed to enter the draft...so this year's draft was filled with entries who would have probably stayed in school longer had high schoolers been allowed to enter the draft (this esp. holds true for the big men..we all know Oden is only staying one year at Ohio State, so many college post players sought to "sell themselves" while their stock was still high."

This year's draft reminds me a lot of the 2000 NBA Draft - certainly less than stellar talent all around and much of it was just one big guessing game. The first 5 picks in that year's draft were: Kenyon Martin, Stromile Swift, Darius Miles, Marcus Fizer, and Mike Miller. Some more obscure/unproductive players that teams picked in the first round of that years draft - Demarr Johnson, Jerome Moiso, Jason Collier, Donnell Harvey, Dalibor Bagaric, Mamadou N'diaye, Erick Barkley, and Mark Madsen. The most productive players (aside from K-mart) to come out of that draft are...Desmond Mason, Q-Rich, Jamaal Magliore, and Michael Redd. 5 Impact players out of 58 players drafted. I would like to hope that this year's draft netted more productive players for their respective teams..yet at the same time I wouldn't be surprised if they just turned out to be a bunch of average NBA players...definitely better than the rookies from the 2000 Draft though.

I've been saying that for the past year... I knew this would be a weak draft... if we continue to have players like this come out, the NBA will be dry and dull in the next 10 years or so... I'm glad they put the age limit on the draft, cause that will help a whole lot in a couple of years

I think it was ruined by all the insane trading. (e.g. Portland trading every single pick they made). There was too much unnecessary because of the lack of a standout stud. Every team was trying to get the guy they thought would be the best player to come out of this draft, and teams were trading like crazy. I think Portland screwed the whole draft up because they seem to have no idea where the franchise is going, and just want to be able to say they had all these people on their team at one time.

This draft class is shallower because of the high school rule, but those will all enter the draft next year. I went to high school with Rudy Gay, so I watched it just to see where he would go. Other than that, I didn't care for the draft.

Ever since they took in the rule that High School players could not enter the draft until they at least spent two years in college.

The talent pool is bare in this draft this year and the Knicks a guy who is like the worse of all with the 20th pick! I'm ashamed to call myself a Knicks fan.

Good players yes, but no superstars,
Tyrus Thomas
LaMarcus Aldridge
Adam Morrison
Rudy Gay wil contribute to their teams Oh and Shelden Williams will play a big part in the Atlanta Hawks plans, But who is this Andrea Bargnani? looks like thrash to me just like last years No 1 Andrew Bogut. Why does it seem to me after the top 10 picks in the nba draft does everyone else suck? tell me ive seen this in recent years, am i the only one who sees this?

You knew that C.M. Punk or Ken Kennedy were going to raw. It become going to be one in all them, its regularly a starting to be superstar that is going to raw. An undesirable superstar going to smackdown(Ric flair), very last time it become Chris Benoit yet i in my opinion like him. This draft is so faux because why would a company in genuine existence draft The Boogeyman first, why dont they bypass for Batista or something like that. besides the undeniable fact that its going to be interesting to work out who receives the ECW identify, maximum in all probability it will be Chris Benoit, CM PUnk or ELijah Burke, its good to work out no extra enormous men like tremendous khali, the tremendous instruct, Lashley and Snitsky(damn extremely dont like his personality) dominating the instruct. the in uncomplicated phrases spotlight become Matt Hardy putting up a good strive against, optimistically this suggests a push because he has labored confusing and he benefits it. i presumed he become going to get drafted to raw, yet didnt ensue. a minimum of this suggests there continues to be wish for a side-Hardy feud.
