the reason most people eat bbq'd food is for the smoky/tender taste the microwaves have yet to master....plus if you're talking about bbq in it's correct sense....it would take way to long to cook meat in the microwave and most arent big enough to hold a slab of ribs.

Microwave ovens work by speeding up the molcules in your food/drink untill they collide causing friction and heat...

A grill uses convectional/direct heat from an open flame....

The taste is from the 2 different types is totally different. I am sure they could make a microwave grill but that would defeat the purpose of grilling or microwaving.

That's like asking why don't they make a car with two wheels that you peddle like a bicycle. Or why don't they make a beer that has no alcohol and tastes just like Pepsi.

Because then it would just be a copy of something completely different and there would be no point in calling it something else!

Back in the day ... They had browning plates. They were so hot when the food was done, you had to wait for it to cool. The time microwaving saved was lost waiting for the plate. And the food cooled too!

Dey been down dat road!

They kind of do.... that is really what a Foreman grill is, but the taste isn't as great as a grill.
