Beagirl40, I believe that you are misinformed. If you watch old ECW tapes from 1993-2001, (and by your comments I can tell you have never watched one) you will clearly see that ECW started the Extreme or "Attitude" era way before the WWE did. If anyone is a rip off, its WWE and Vincent K. McMahon. Dont get me wrong, WWE has its moments like DX and Nation and such. But when it comes down to raw (not RAW) talent, ECW was the place to be. Sure it didnt have the money backing like WWE or WCW, but it was a fantastic show nonetheless. There was no need for pyro or fancy camera work and lighting. ECW was strictly about wrestling not "Entertainment" WWE needs to realize that the word "wrestling" is apart of their company name and deliver some good "wrestling" not this "sports entertainment" crap.

Take a look for example how WWE rips off ECW:
1.) The Sandman was drinking beers and givin' out @$$ whippings way before Stone Cold was even thought of.

2.) Hardcore wrestling..need I say more. When ECW became big (and when I say big, I mean as in fan base not money wise) WWE amd WCW started to bring out "Hardcore Titles"

3.) Where do you think Chris Jericho got his start in the US? It wasnt WWE or WCW. Yes thats correct, it was ECW.

4.) Same as for Rey Mysterio, Eddie, Malenko, Perry Saturn, Benoit, Psicosis, and many more.

Do me and all ECW fans a favor, before you start saying whos a rip off and whos not, take the time to do some research on the matter. Watch Rise and Fall of ECW. It will do ya some good.

ECW is just a low budget rip off of the WWE! There is no way that ECW will ever match up to the power and prestiege as the WWE. They don't have the money, resources or the clout that WWE has. It took the McMahon's years to get the WWE where it is today and for the ECW to come in and say that they want the piece of the pie I say they should choke on it.

I have two words for ECW?

SUCK IT!!! DX style baby!!

I doubt it very seriously, ECW is on a 12 month trial, if the ratings are'nt good after the trial period is up, it will be cancelled. Speaking of ECW, i'm so sick of Kelly's dance segment.
