Any other kind of sound?

Could be sound card or speakers. Speakers may be turned off or power unplugged. .Borrow somebody else's speakers and plug them in as a test.

you're plugged into the wrong jack or someone moved it for a game controller

Did you disable your sound in your internet opiton.
