When you say everyone, you must mean English speaking countries. Other countries have their sites in their own languages, but you can usually pick to see them in English.
I have talked to some other people in other countries, and I wanted to speak in their own language to them, so I went to www.worldlingo.com and I used the free online translator that they have there. I wrote to a guy in Malta who speaks Italian, and I used the free online translator, and his wife wrote to me and she said that the translation was exactly right, but in practical terms, those translators are 50 to 75% accurate, and they don't always translate some words and names.
It is called the World Wide Web because the Internet spans the globe. The www. doesn't mean that the language will always be English.
.com means Commercial or for businesses. What determines the language is the country that is using the internet.

well, currently English is the international language, which means everyone is recommended to learn it, as it is the language which the majority of people in an assembly will speak. The internet is mostly in english, but there are websites that end with things like ".de" forr Deutschland a.k.a. Germany or ".co.il" for Israel.
But basically, the internet's mostly in english as it is the international language, and you can almost always see an option for an english translation on foreign websites.

that in fact is a very good question.
the language of a website does not depend at all on the .com or .net
in fact it depends entirely on something called the character-set.
so a website with a .com address might be in chinese or a .net address might be in japanese. most countries come out with their own domain names like co.in or co.uk or .net.in etc. but even these do not make a difference in the language in which the website is written.
the character-set is something which determines the language in which the website is written and understood. so a japanese website would have a different charater-set than say yahoo.com. each webpage that you view specifies what character-set it is using (it is part of the source code of every webpage). so even one website can be using different pages written in different languages, or even multiple languages.
so regardless of your location in the world, you can still visit a website written in, say, chinese if your browser supports the required character set.
hope the clears up some things.

Well, actually, everyone doesn't know English, but when you set up your internet access I'm sure when they asked you what language you prefer you checked "English." Other countries usually pick their own languages. So basically, what you are going to see is the same thing they see only in English as opposed to another language.
Hope that helps.

most other countries have a different ending, or .com if you will. Ireland is .ir and france is .fr. THere is a new one for europe called .eu - so yes, there are websites in other languages - including yahoo - check out the flags at the bottom ofhte page and you will find yahoo answers in different languages!
