It's a decent enough movie (which is in theatres, despite what some people are claiming).

It can be slow and plodding, but so was the first movie. It is about character development, but it has its share of action.

The actor who played Superman did better than I expected. Kevin Spacey is, of course, divine.

And once again, I have to ask why a supposed genius like Lex Luthor could make such pathetic mistakes.

It loosely follows the plot of Superman a million and a pair of. Superman 2 has been remade (Superman 2 Donner decrease) that would shed extra person-friendly on how they due tie at the same time. also, there's a series of four Prequel Comics that instruct some how assorted the continuity of both videos (Superman 2 and Returns) are tied at the same time. the significant objective at the same time as starting to be Superman Returns become no longer to ought to bypass through the finished foundation lower back, and rather use the present continuity from the previous action pictures to envision this. Returns takes position 5 years after the activities partly 2, and exhibits that Superman has lengthy previous into area searching for what's going to be left of Krypton.

It was pretty darned good. Without giving anything away:

- The plot was cool. It was basically a "follow-up" to Superman II. It basically ignored 3 and 4.
- They stayed true to the feel of the originals without being tacky or cheesy. I felt like a kid watching the old ones again.
- The effects never looked fake, if that makes sense.
- Kevin Spacey is so awesome as Lex.
- Brandon Routh did a great job of capturing the feel of Christopher Reeve's Superman without coming across as a replacement, an imitation or a cheap knock-off.

This comic franchise is going to be right up there with Sin City and the Spidermans.

I liked it!

But I think that like X-men, they try to hard to keep the story grounded!

They could have done so many more things with the movie, but personally, I think it was ok!

Not bad...considering the first series of Superman sucked any ways! The only good thing was Marlon Brando! : D LOL!!!

Kevin Spacey was pretty good though! : D

Go see it!

From some of the trailers/previews I have seen....it looks pretty fake....atleast the new guy's body/suit looks kinda lame.......STICK WITH THE ORIGINAL with Christopher Reeve which is one of the best movies of all time......some REMAKES/NEW STORIES based on old movies just don't cut it anymore......I will WAIT until it comes on DVD in less than 6 months from now.....
