Paint. For me, there's more freedom for the imagination to work in a painting. I really enjoy the sensory experiences of painting--the smells, the tactile sensations of mixing colors and laying on brushstrokes, and watching the work change in front of me as I solve each space. The process of painting is more enjoyable for me, almost meditative.

Either. In different situations of course. Where would I be without all the wonderful pictures I have of my son? I certainly could never paint fast enough. I must also say, if my house were burning, my families pictures would be the only thing I would try to grab. As for painting, taking a picture of something pretty like the ocean or a mountain side, is much more enjoyed if painted. A picture takes like 2 seconds. A painting allows you to become a part or the scene, not just observe it.

**"Taks" a photo to her bulletin board. **
I would paint a picture.......but it would be full of stick figures in a very Picasso-was-artistically-challenged kind of way. Therefore, I would surely need to tak....take a photograph. My father got me started with SLR cameras at an early age and taught me to look at everything as if I was looking through a camera lens. Therefore, that's why I "take pictures with my mind" anyhow. These photographs are "real" and show the accurate colors, feelings and life of the subject. Thumbing through the photos in my albums and adding the photos in my mind shows me what an amazing world we live in!

I would rather do the painting any day. A photograph, though they can be truly inspired, tends to be static in nature and lacking in inspiration. A painting... you get to know the subject and you learn wh othey are... their little quirks and facial ticks and twitches of humor and wit, sarcasm and irritation or delight while working with them and its my joy to put these into my work while doing the painting.....
Yeah, I'd rather spend a week doing a portrait then five minutes setting up a photograph.
Will you pose for me?

I would rather paint. It is much more challenging, forces me to pay attention and to be observant. And, because it is the more challenging endeavour, would be better for my character. An egg tempera painting or a fresco can survive for thousands of years. Aphoto on paper will only last for hundreds. Plus, it's easier to get people to take off their clothes for you if they think it's for fine art instead of just a jpg on a server somewhere.

I would rather paint….as pictures only tend to show facts and what’s really there…whereas a painting would show emotions, colours, expressions the painter would have felt at the moment…photos can be feelingless and are usually perfect where as painting aren’t so can be deep and meaningful…a photo captures the moment…a painting feels it..:)

I'd rather take a photo,it captures the moment you want to remember instantly, and you can keep it forever. A painting, while it would look really nice, wouldn't be as perfect as a photo. I have so many photos,it's just a good way to remember things. :)
