You didn't mention the film, however if you are asking yourself that question, then likely it isn't. Stick to what you know is for children (may not be the most enjoyable film for you to sit through, but much better than trying to police a film). I saw Aquamarine with my niece, which I thought was going to be such a bore, but I ended up loving it. Unlike the movies geared towards teens, kids movies (for tweens and under) seem to offer something that will put a smile on even an adult's jaded face!

Movies for a 5 or 6 year old should be limited to G rated ones.
