Depends on whether or not you mean recommend to that person they consider being a waitress or recommending to a friend or acquaintance to hire this person. I think anyone can overcome shyness and that even though you would not think a shy person would be much good as a person that interacts with the public a lot sometimes that is just the best way to overcome that shyness and this person could end up being a very good waitress and all round different person. Sure I would but then a little disclaimer. There are just some shy people that are not ready to grow or face their fears and for them no it's best not to be a waitress however I would never totally rule someone out just based on them being shy.

I would definitely recommend this job. It will give you the chance to be more outgoing. Because a friendly waitress usually gets bigger tips, it will give you the incentive to be more extroverted. After a while, it will become natural to you and you will overcome your shyness. I was very shy as a child and became a teacher. I am no longer shy in the least extent.

Yes, if your goal is to not be shy
IT is a great way to earn money and to come out of your shell. The would is full of poeple, learn from them and talk to them
But being shy is not a bad thing. Love who you are and do not change for others, only change for yourself.

why, yes. yes I would. it would be good for her, force her to get out of her shell and get abused a bit, we all need to be crapped on. Waitressing is great for that, great practice in humility and degradation.

No. Because most of the money you make comes from tips, and if you are not outgoing then most people won't leave a generous tip.
