The Apple Store gives you a student discount if you show them your school ID. I have a 30GB iPod that I won, so I didn't have to buy it.
Actually, iPods aren't really that good. Get a Creative Labs Vision instead. It's the same price as an iPod but has way better features, better sound quality, and a bigger screen.

I got a 2 GB white nano from the Apple store (online), and I paid $180 for it. if u go to apple's website and buy it there, you can get a 10% discount if you're a student or educator. That's what I did! : )

Best Buy is the best place to get one...I don't have an ipod yet myself, but I'm sure the price ranges from $400-$800, depending on what one you get. Some ipods hold more music than others do.

Buy them online from apple. I've got a 2G nano that I got for half price because I bought a computer, from an apple store.
