Two different styles there, Pronger is a ground and pounder and Hedican is a speedster compared to Pronger. I know a guy who played with Pronger and said when he was a rookie, he was lazy during practice and he said he wouldn't skate hard when doing drills...ever!! I'd go with Hedican for that reason only.

Although Hedican is a solid defenseman and has had a good career, without a doubt Pronger is one of the top 2 dmen in the league (along with Lidstrom)

Of these 2 choices, I'd have to say Pronger, but Nick Lidstrom is by far the best defenseman. Hands down.

Easily Nick Lidstrom, but out of these two it would definitely be Chris Pronger.
