my friend is moving out of the state, or wants to. her mother has decided that they can't. it's all big-drama with the whole thing now. we're going into high school next year. and she said that now her mom's not allowed to move them out of the state, and she said that if she has to stay, she'll die, physically and mentally. and it's just really annoying because she wants to move away- and I'm here! all she does is gripe and complain and moan about how she wants to leave and i'm expected to keep my mouth shut and listen. what should i do?

i was gonna ask her why she wants to move so much, cuz she's got me and our other three friends, and she doesn't have trouble at school, i know. she's also not the nicest friend, she's always insulting me. normally, i would try to work it out.. but i've stopped caring after hearing for the millionth time how much she wants to move and getting the millionth insult about me personally. what if she stays here next year- i don't want to be friends with her anymore, she's mean!

You should tell her how you feel. You are her friend and obviously things where she is aren't as bad as she is making them out to be. You owe it to her to be honest about how you feel and maybe give her another perspective on her current situation. She might not agree with you, but friends don't always agree with eachother. Just let her know it's not the end of the world, that you are glad she's staying, and that she needs to start making the best of the situation.

Let her know how you feel calmly.Try to dig deeper and understand what is really going on with her. Why does she want to leave? Trouble at school? Bullying? Try to help her deal with her issues instead of moving from them.

Tell her to stfu and deal with it. Some things you just cant change and this is one of them and if you really like this friend tell her how you feel about her and try to show her a bright side to wherever you are.

You might not be able to see things the way she does. Try stuffing your head as far up your own @$$ as hers is up her own. That's probably why she thinks her world is total sh!t. It's nothing against you personally, you're really not in the same world that she has her head in.
