This so-called war has been going on since March 20, 2003, and that's a little over three years. The number of US soldiers killed averages out to about 2.1 per day. To put this in some sort of perspective, for those who say "Waaaay to many", there were many battles in World War 1 where over 10,000 French or British soldiers would die in a single day. Over the course of some battles, which might drag on for three weeks or more, some 600,000 might die. Even the 3-day Battle of Gettysburg saw 51,000 killed, wounded or missing, which included 7,000 immediate dead, which is over 2300 dead per day, or over a THOUSAND TIMES the death rate in the current Iraq war.

The number who are dying in the Iraq war are probably less than the number dying in traffic accidents in New York City.

Same as I used to be for the period of Vietnam. What makes me saddest is that each have been to begin with winable wars, till the fools within the White House proved they knew not anything approximately why men and women battle or how you can begin, or give up, a revolution. What I worry now could be that we have got traveled to this point down this direction that we haven't any alternative however to claim a "PAX AMERICANA" and overcome the arena. The influence shall be an new darkish a while, and the victory of Big Brother. Still, America surprises me adequate that I attempt to maintain in brain that we have been the primary (and handiest country) to vanquish the arena and we bought out of it, willingly, quicker than we conquered it. So, hoist one for absent peers.

CNN maintains a website with this information. It covers American soldiers in addition to coalition soldiers. Included on the list are pictures (if available), age, unit, hometown, and details.

We do not like to think that GOD would let good people die, but He has a plan for us all. We may never find the reason in this lifetime, but the Bible says that there is a plan.
