The sun is only about 4.5 billion years old. The cloud of gas and dust that it formed out of was probably huge, though.

Zilch. If currently accepted wisdom is correct, the big bang happened about 13.4 billion years ago, so nothing at all existed before then. The Sun probably condensed from a nebula and started shining about 4.6 billion years ago.

calculate how much mass has been given off, assuming present age of 5-15 billion years. don't forget to remember what colour the sun was at that time and how that's affected its present day density, and indeed it's size.

The sun, if it existed then, would have been about the same size it is now. Suns gather mass by gravity. Once the mass is gone the sun can't get much larger.

since right now our sun is inb the red giant stage it probably would have smaller thand the world would have been hotter because there wasn't any ozone..... thats what ive heard
