YES, definitely. I hope you took him to the doctor each time.
Pneumonis is something really bad to get.
Age 18 months is especially bad to get this.

It is extremely important that you become educated in the field of respiratory disease. In you question, you failed to say whether your son's pneumonia was bacterial or viral. There are different causes for these two types of pneumonia and there is no way to give you pertinent information without the specific knowledge. If you do not know which pneumonia, I suggest you make an appointment to review your son's illness with his pediatrician. You are the voice for your son, so speak up, and Good Luck to your family !

Yes you should be very concerned...my nephew has had pneumonia at least a couple of times and he now has a serious asthma condition.

Although I'm not sure if the two are related; but ask you doctor about any long term effects of repeat pneumonia outbreaks.

Definitely. Get a second opinion from another pediatrician or infectious disease specialist. The pneumonia is not clearing up, which probably means your son has fluid in his lungs. Get him to somebody who will do the right blood and pulmonary tests and help him get better once and for all. I'll say a prayer for him. Peace and God bless.

If you smoke around this child then stop because cigerette smoke can cause ear infections and bronchitis. Those can commonly turn into pnemonia.

Yes, with so many respiratory infections I would have him tested for Cystic Fibrosis. My nieces daughter was ill over and over and it ended up being CF. Good Luck

Yes. Why are you asking strangers on yahoo? You need to be asking a doctor. You should know better. Shame.

did you check to see if he is asthmatic also did you have a Cesarean if so the baby's lungs did not naturally release any fluids from his lungs as what happens with a vaginal birth.
