Can I download a movie from a DVD to my computer. or do I need special software.

If your talking about copying it to your hard drive, you will need special software for that. All movies are "encrypted" to protect them from being copied. There are some programs out there that can remove the "encryption" from movies. You must remove the "encryption" from the movie before you can copy it to any other disc.

First of all, you dont download from a DVD to your PC.You copy it and YES, you need a software for doing that as the DVD is encrypted.You can get these softwares in sites like download.com or cnet.com
