It can be nothing or most importance.

So how do you make sure that your card is one of the few that attracts attention, gets kept, filed, and actually used when your prospect needs your product or service?

It pays to think about the reasons people keep cards to begin with. Often, it's not for the reason you expect. Understanding this critical concept can dramatically affect the design and ultimate effectiveness of your card.

Business cards are very important! Leave them everywhere, even better is getting magnetic backs (strips or squares) and sticking them on the backs of your cards. I love fridge magnets and they are always in my face like I hope mine are in others! They sell magnetic note pads where you can stick your cards and hand out,. Just search business card magnet pads, you'll find something!

Yes; we use them every day. You don't pass them out like free paper. But after you meet someone and have an interesting conversation and want to stay in touch, it is a professional and courteous way to exchange information without scrambling for pen and paper.

I use them every time I go out for business.

It is professional and leaves a positive impression.

And always invest in good quality paper and a professional design.

Avoid feebies and perforated edges.

Actually, I collect them!
As for business, yes, I find them very convenient. It sure beats using phone directories trying to find someone in a small, specialized business who doesn't ordinarily advertise.
