I think you're thinking of when the net was relatively new! Well it ain't anymore so the guys that wrote the books pressured the ones making sites and blah freaking blah blah blah! I never seen a 'build a chevy engine' site & I been online 7 yrs, but I never looked for 1 either, but I know there used to be sites that told how to play harp, guitar, etc., you gotta join them now!

i dont think you'll find a site with step by step instructions, rather you need to find websites with "forums" deticated to chevys. Granted these won't give you any step by steps either, but it will help you out alot. Just ask any of the guys on the forum what you need help with and i'm sure they will give you advise.

Try looking up some forums, you'll get more info you can actually use than by just searching "small block chevy" or "corvette". Look up "corvette forums", etc.
