Your freind has found the secret to weight loss. (a raw food diet) You can eat as much of this stuff as you want. Apples, oranges, peaches, plums, salad(little dressing) , carrots,,,,etc. It is difficult to eat this way for 2 or 3 days, but after that it gets easier

First of all if you eat only fruit you will eventually die!!
No body should be "skinny". Now if what your looking for is a healthy slender body I can tell you now to get it. Get your body moving dance, play a sport, or just walk but move for at least 30 min a day. Next buy ( I recommend buy because your are going to want to refer to it) or borrow from the Library "Zone Meals in seconds by Dr Barry Sears and Lyn Sears" Read the chapters on how the plan works then follow the plan. Because the plan is nutritionally balanced and you feed only your lean body mass not you fat your will lose wait naturally and consistently until you reach your ideal weight. You will eat normal food and even deserts and you will never be hungry.
I have been following the plan for 6 weeks and I have lost 14lbs my body fat percentage has dropped 10% I have taken 4 inches off my waist and 5 inches off my Hips. I intend to eat this way for the rest of my life I will never be fat again.

Depends on the fruit. I did apples for six months. Apples for breakfast, apples for snacks 3 times a day, apples for dinner and a somehwat normal lunch. I lost 40 pounds in six months and dropped from size 39 to size 33.
Apples weight almost a pound, have fibre, lots of vitimins, sugar to keep you alert and defeat the craving for other foods.
I also limited all sugars (soda, candy, cakes), reduced some starches (potatoes, gravy, dressings, breads) and reduced some portion sizes on my meals.
Some fruits will make you fatter or keep you the same.
Grape fruits, apples, pears are good fruties
Mellons, peaches, plumbs, necterines are ok fruits
Kiwi is not so good!
A solid fruit diet is not a great idea. HAve some tuna, chicken and eat some veggies, drink a little milk and have some cheese.
You need protines as well as "small carbs" found in fruits.
Avoid terrible reducution diet things like Pizza, french fries, etc.
Get rid of sugars that are not fruit, milk or veggie related.
Apples,. by the way, are 80 - 100 calories each. A weight reduction diet is one under 1800 caloires. That's a lot of apples. You need sugar to stay alert and feed the body. AT least 50% of your day should have sugars and the rest protines to build new cells. They weight 11 to 16 ounces, they fill your belly, they are half natural sugar and fibre.
What you don't want are "large carbs" like potatoes, pasta, white rice.
You want small veggie carbs from greens, like broccoli, peas, green beans and maybe some corn, although that's a medium carb, so are carrots.
There are only three things in the food groups:
Protines (meats and some fruits or veggies, but usually exotic stuff like Tofu)
Carbohydrates (almost everything else, potatoes, rice, bread, pasta, veggies, fruits -- all or most of which is sugar and the rest fibre).
Fats (dressings, oils, meat fats).
There are large or big cards (starches, potatoes, breads, pasta, rice) which are converted to both stored sugar (fat cells) or active sugar (muscle or ATP activating).
There are small carbs (green vegies and most fruits) which provide mostly active sugar (for musicle movement thorugh ATP and some stored fat cells).
You NEED 1800 to 2000 calories of SUGAR just to be a couch potato. Just to breath, sleep and push the remote button.
If you limit your diet to under 1800 calories, the body calls upon the Liver and Pancrease to provide releaf. The Pancrease provides artificial sugar (KETOSE) for a week or two, the Liver starts turnings stored body fat calls into instant sugar to take over after Ketose production ends.
This is how you lose weight. You deny the body it's 2000 calories of sugar sot he body starts eating itself to make up for the loss.

It depends on the type of fruit. Since some fruits have a very high fat content, such as avacadoes. Fruits are also high in sugar, even if it is natural. High levels of sugar will greatly affect your blood sugar levels. Eating a lot of fruit isn't a very good thing, though incorporating it into your diet with other foods will benefit you.

i know a girl who went on a fruit and water diet. She lost weight very quickly, but after she stopped it, she gained the weight back in no time. So unless your friend wants to eat fruit and drink water, and those two alone, then it will not help.

That would not be healthy. Fruit alone will help. Good nutrition in the proper serving...... Exercise ..wil help you loose weight. Noni Juice or Goji Berry juice will also help.

fruit is good for you but it has sugar in it. the sugar goes straight to your mid section and just turns to rock so you don't want to eat to much of it. Eat vegetables they are better, less fat, less carbs (in some) less calories and less sugar
