My breasts are tender and sore. They have never been sore before, what could cause this on such short notice? I have horrible cramps too, and that I can handle, but it hurts my chest when I lay down on my stomach.

This isn't my first period, I had that about 5 years ago, and I am not pregnant. I haven't had sex since April. I have had my period since then, so that rules that one out.

I don't drink caffeine. I can't because of the meds that I am on for my RLS.

With the risk of sounding a bit like a tree-hugger, with any pain you could first look if it could be psychological. And I don't mean you might be making it up, but emotional distress could take any physical form. You wouldn't believe how much I saved on dental appointments by egtting rid of a girlfriend. If you take your mind off things, if need be by doing a fair amount of drugs or alcohol, and it still hurts - then yes, see a doctor or listen to these other folk on here. Don't visit a doctor when you're on drugs though ;o)

Sometimes breasts can be tender and sore for various reasons, often times nothing serious. But I don't know if the cramps could be a sign of something else. I'd check a medical website if I were you, like webmd.com.
