we had to give our real names, pictures, and other info? Or do we hide between cartoon faces and screen names?

I wouldn't name call...but I don't do that now. I wouldn't be able to let people get the best of me....but for the most part my answers are me...

I would, but it would be less "slapstick" name calling and more intellectual "jousting" so to speak. You know I just LOVE to needle NEOCONS :)

I'm pretty much the same out in the real world. I'm a chronic wise-a*s! You can take it further in here with the anonymity and all, but I'm the same. I wouldn't put my real info out there because it's bad enough when some flake starts sending you nasty e-mails - could you imagine if they sent it to your house, or worse yet showed up there? There's some sick people out here - I would probably have to hurt somebody if they showed up like that!!

I don't know, do you do that. I try to answer questions from a liberal point of view and get much hate mail for doing it, maybe that is why I have lost patience and talk as much smack as I do, Most conservatives do not have a clue as to what liberalism is and only go by the repuglican rhetoric that has been set down from generation to generation.

No frigging way. Good question you have, BTW- but I wouldn't say half the **** that I do on here if I was using my real name and picture. Hell, if my parents found out I'm a Pro Bush conservative Republican, they would absolutely go postal.
Also, it would be a lot harder to call someone names if you knew who they were and what they really look like.

Great question! depends on your station in life. If you are young what do you have to loose unless you are talking about drugs and sex and dont want your parents to know. If you are older and it could affect your career or job you might be reluctant as well. But probably the biggest reason is that there are so many idiots without a life that continue to post stupid or non-questions for reasons that are beyond my understanding.

I agree with you one hundred percent! I don't think it solves anything or does any good when people whether Conservative or Liberal talks like that. It only makes them and their side look bad. A lot of these liberals saying crude and rude things to the Republicans or Conservatives embarrass me as well as the America haters from outside. I would think some of these republicans that do it too probably embarrass you too.

I don't give any answers that I would be ashamed of. I have answered all of the questions honestly. I would not be ashamed for anyone to know who I am, nor would I be ashamed for anyone who knows me to know what I said.
I do not, however, want a bunch of people harassing me or trying to steal my identity, or trying to argue with me because they did not agree with my opinion. Therefore I keep all of my information blocked. This is not a chat room, but a Q&A forum. I give my answers and then I am done.
No smack talkin' here!!

That is a good question and I think that this is becoming a world society and that technologly will eventually bring the whole world to a small town enviroment.
Hopefully any way because that is the only way to bring morals back to society.
As to risk everyone knowing like in a small town.

What I say depends on my mood. The same goes for the questions I answer. Only people w/ guilty consciences hide. What you read is what you get. It's all me. I Dont see why I should hide that.

I would say what I felt like. At the end of it what would be the difference if you saw my face and knew my name. I could be living anywhere in the world and I doubt very much it would make worldwide headlines.

I say what I believe and want to say be it face to face or screen to screen but some people take comfort and security in knowing that they are protected by a screenname and false given information.
