is it true that if u put songs on an ipod and delete them, is the space on the ipod reduced? i heard from a weird friend that if u do, then the space on the ipod gets smaller.

i have a 30gb video ipod. hard drive.

Not exactly sure what you are talking about,When you delete something, on any platform, it is not deleted, it stays there, hidden, until the space is overwritten. So technically the space is not there but the ipod should say it has that space.

Well I have the same Ipod as you do and If you go to settings an go to a bout it will say that you have 27 gb and I you delete a song it will stay the same

No and if there was ever some weird problem just restore it to factory condition if Ipod updater.

Kind of. it just get fragmented. Just do a disk defragment on a windows computer.
