We are remodling an old rock house and we need the fastest and fastest way to move the rock without damaging the house itself. My husband and I are removing the rock ourselves. Is there some equipment that we need other than a sledge hammer and crow bar.

If you are intending to remove a large quanity you will want to use a masonry saw to remove the compound between the stones, these are usually quite expensive, and you will probably need both a large(a little bigger than a circular saw) and a small one(about the size of a hand held angle grinder. These saws are usually available though rental outlets, which considering the cost is probably the most practical solution. They will save a lot of chipping damage to the structure, not to mention a lot of sore muscles from hammering.
