It's pure prejudice and third-grade name-calling.
This country has gotten to the point where far too many people think that anyone who disagrees with you is a threat and must be destroyed. It's massive political polarization, fed by prejudice and hatred of anything or anyone different.
Just the fact that people who support the constitutional goals of "promoting the general Welfare and ensuring the blessings of Liberty" (from the Preamble) are being insulted shows that there is no respect for differences of opinion.
But while there are fanatics in both camps, lumping everyone else under the label 'neocons' is not valid either. I'm not saying that's what you're doing. But many on the liberal end of the spectrum are.
At this point, we really have three main political groups, with moderates being the largest. Unfortunately, the moderates are split between two political parties, so end up fighting political battles that don't address the important issues.

Well, I work in the oil field, which can be just as dangerous as coal mines or pretty much any other career. I work hard for my money, and I'm damn proud of what I've accomplished. I don't come from money, I'm the first in my family to graduate from college, and I put myself through school. I am a republican, and I don't really like the idea that 42 cents on every dollar to social programing. I don't think every liberal is on welfare, but I know that reform is needed. As any indvidual who works hard for their money, like your family, I have things to take care of... my wife, my son, my morgage, insurance, blah blah blah... I don't like sending any more money to the government then I have to. Look, I really think the only big difference in this issue is that republicans are willing to say that reform (not removal) of welfare s nessessary, and dems claim that every rep wants to get rid of it. My best to you and your family.

Nazi = became a German slang term for the national Socialist celebration of which Hitler became the chief. It became a Socialist circulate that later became Fascist and located convenience and aide in Fascist Italy. immediately's fairly liberal leftist circulate, which Obama is the chief of that circulate IS Socialist and bordering on Fascism. there is not any different clarification. He shown it back in his speech immediately. He desires to dictate to the indoors maximum financial sector what kinds of investments and loan automobiles inner maximum corporation can furnish to private electorate. human beings that Fascism. while the government dictates those issues, it fascism. Now if the government took administration of all the investment automobiles and mortgages all mutually, that would desire to be Socialism. So clarify to me which on Obama is, a Fascist or a Socialist?

I don't claim that all liberals are on welfare....I do however, claim that liberals cringe at the thought of welfare reform...when something clearly needs to be done. Welfare is there to help people get back on their feet....not to make a career out of it.
Conservatives work hard for their money too....sorry about your Grandpa.

David Brinkley once said in the 80s that America is all about "Welfare for the Rich and Free Enterprise for the Poor." That about covers it.

I have never said all liberals are on welfare, in fact I do not think I have ever said liberals were on welfare much less all. Some of my wealthiest friends are liberals. Plus you got Kennedy, Kerry, Bill Gates & 90% of Hollywood - all work & are all liberals. Sorry about your Granfather.

they will say anything they can to demonize the other side... they don't care... they have no morals...
loubean: I'm all for reform... but I've heard from many conservatives, I don't think you have said this though, that they want to do away with welfare completely...
the system isn't perfect and does need fixing, but it is a needed program

Probably the same reason libs say cons live in trailer parks. You all just insult each other instead of debating an issue.

NEOCONS only care about NEOCONS, everyone else can go to hell, that's the problem as illustrated by the current corrupt NEOCON administration.
