Why do dads have to be losers and not let their daughters have boyfriends?!?

it doesn't make a dad a loser when he doesn't want his daughter to have a boyfriend... my dad doesn't want me to have a boyfriend for now. but he's okay with it after i get a stable job. sweetheart... you can't tell who's decent and who's not nowadays. i myself have been deceived by a person whom i thought i could trust. i looked up to him as a brother, friend, and a boyfriend. i never knew he could actually break my trust and leave me hanging. that incident really broke my heart. you know what i did? i spoke with my dad. he told me GREAT stuff about having a relationship. "there's nothing wrong with having a boyfriend. but if you take things VERY seriously, as if you're a married couple already, things can go very badly". my dad courted my mum for 5 years, and this year they'll be celebrating their 21st anniversary. their relationship isn't perfect at all. yeah, they argue and fight sometimes but of course they still make up. this situation can be applicable to us young princesses. our dads don't like us getting hurt at all. they want us to be beautiful, successful and happy. of course, we won't be able to do good in school if we are sad. trust me, i've gone through that stage and now i'm feeling guilty.i did pass my senior year in highschool, but my grades weren't that high.
talk with your daddy little princess. i'm sure he wouldn't want you to grow old single and sad. clear things up with him and after that, give him a big hug.

At least you have a dad that cares! And this is why you don't have boyfriends: I have been pregnant 6 times! Ages: 14, 15, 16, 16, 17, 18. All six were miscarriages... but would you want to be pregnant that many times? To guys you weren't married to? I know you are probably thinking "well I'll wait till I get married", but you have no idea how tempting or convincing a guy can be. Especially when you hear "I Love You".

Plus age matters... if you are only in middle school.... nope not happening... 16-18... I suppose he should lighten up a little and at least meet the guys you want to date. Get his approval... let him set the rules... at least you will get what you want and he might loosen up as he gets to know the guy. Suggest meeting the guy you like to him. Ask if it's ok to date as long as you are at your house or somewhere public with some kind of supervision and your constant calls checking in (if either one of you have a cell phone). He just might go along with it and be happy with your MATURE approach.

Dads care about their daughters so much because they use to be younger and they now how guys think so they want to protect their daughters from the boys who were like them but what dads don't see is that their sons are also out there getting with girls so it's kinda pointless to stop you. he just wants to protect you. trust me it's for the best.

Dad's aren't losers- most are just plain protective that's all. And protecting you doesn't make them a loser. Why don't you ask your dad why he doesn't let you have a boyfriend? If his motive is wrong, then explain it clearly to him.

because girls get pregnant. My daddy died when i was 9. I had a 18 year old boyfriend when i was 14, and i got pregnant and had a baby girl. However I stayed with him.. and i now have another 3 month old. Im currently 18.. but he is just protecting you. You'll get through!

they are not losers! they just know what guys are like and they dont want you to get hurt! you should be happy for having a father that cares about you soo much. theres many dads out there that wouldnt care at all! so you know your dad will always be there with you. my dad doesnt want me to date but im getting older. its only natural!
