Of course it was inevitable because people are so involved in their own little world, they don't look around and really pay attention to things. Most people ignore a lot of gutt feelings. If I was living in that are, I would do what I could to prepare myself and my family, saving up, etc., doing research. I would tell my friends my findings and let them make their own decisions and that would be the extent of it. People have to pay for their own stupidity. Ignorance is no excuse. If you are not doing your part to stop a problem, then you are part of the problem.

People in hurricane laden areas never think it's going to be that bad so they stay, the whole "I've been living here for 50 years I ain't leavin" When they say a hurricane is coming get your behinds out of there.

Sure it was. They could have elected a human being instead of a clown for mayor, the first time. The fact they they have re-elected the idiot and decided to rebuild a city 15 ft below sea level in a hurricane path, tells me they deserve what they got and what they are going to get in the future.

It was most assuradly inevitable!!...la has been an entitlement city for over 60 years...owned and operated by the democratic party....generation after generation of folks living off 'government' checks each month...never realizing a job or the ability to support themselves.

Prevent the panic?
Who do you think could?
Imagine the gnashing of teeth at Armaggedon
when hurricanes will be the least of worldwide events taking place at one time with no where to run...
That's Panic...
Outside the ARK was no place to be...

There was no panic, the definition of panic is when people go crazy and do irrational and bizarre things. The people were scared but they stuck together and did what they had to do to survive. You cant stop nature!!!!!!!!

Absolutley Not. To stop it, as soon as the government knew what kind of damage it could do they should have brought in tons of troops and got all those people out.
