what kind of emo do you mean??? there's the general "emo" that the whole world uses like crazy and then there's the stereotypical emo based on the lyrics then there's the emo that 'music experts' analyze as a genre or whatever based on the actual music and style and crap. people use "emo" in lots of ways and it pretty much has little meaning now. or something X_X not trying to preach or say something smart. but the emo thing is ridiculous. hmmmmmmm f.u.c.k. emo. the word.

Most people will say that they're considered emo but emo is normally guys who have had hard relationships and then write about it. Brendon Urie even said in an interview that the stereotype emo is offensive and "bullshit". I completely agree with him. Sure there music is deep and has a lot of emotion but so does twenty one pilots music and they're alternative. so in my opinion, no they're not emo. they're just original, they have their own genre, they do everything really. they do there own thing. which is one of the reasons I really like them. hope this helped!!

VERY HARD question! Ur getting alot of yes and no's. I think they are emo because of the guitars and lyrics but they are pop because of their other instruments. MOST emo ppl like them, (I am half punk, half prep) I just went 2 their concert yesterday and I didnt think of them as emo but alot of emo ppl like them.

No!! Most places have them as "Punk-pop" or as some call it "lollipop punk" Yellowcard is emo since its all about feelings with them. If you only heard one or two of the songs the radio plays then you might think so. But listen to more and you see they actually sing not whine.
