That is a really good question. That depends on how many people get involved in environmentalist organizations to stop urband sprawl.

A LONG Time. We don't actually take up near the space that we think. If you calculate the entire worlds population ( 6 billion +or -), and give them a four bedroom house, the total square footage required to shelter them wouldn't take up the entire state of Texas. We just like to congregate together, making things look much more crowded than they actually are.

It's OK, most farmers have trouble making ends meet on the land they already have, not a shortage of land. Malthus went out of fashion a long time ago.

Most of the usable farmland today is not in production. The harvest volume per acre continues to climb. I don't see a problem in the US.
