Sexual education and free birth control. Seeing an ob/gyn once a year for an exam and paying for birth control every month can be quite expensive, especially if something comes back off and you have to go back in, which most times ends up being nothing but costly. I know some countries do have Universal Health Care, but here in the States, health care coverage is a joke.
The Catholics need to let go of the 'contraception is wrong' attitude and realize that if they don't start promoting it, we are going to self destruct. And since we all know abstinence just isn't going to happen, they might as well accept it and move on.

Population growth is not exponential, so get a grip. The only thing that brings population down in a society is the end of farming as a basic need. Children perform the role of slave labor and are expensive to feed and clothe and take care of, however badly. As soon as a culture can use machinery for agriculture, the need for slave labor disappears, and children are no longer needed. They become a luxury and only a few can be supported in a luxurious style.

We need to educate people better (in general as well as about population growth in particular) and to make birth control more widely available. Even so, however, populations will continue to grow, so we need to do what we can to decrease the amount of resources the existing people use. Alternative energies are a good start, as are urban green spaces and rooftop gardens, to help slow the pace of global warming. Hydroponics may help to meet people's food needs, but really global warming is more serious at the moment.

theres nothing wrong with exponential growth .. thats how populations always grow. The only place where it doenst is in China ... where baby girls are killed or put up for adoption and every couple is allowed to have only 1 child.... we wouldnt want that here

nature is doing it for us in the increase in gay and lesbian activity it has already been around but increases in highly populated areas to control the population ....in nature there is no way to males could have childrena nd no way to females can have children....through science and adoption it can now happen but in nature no way ...in rome for example the population was very dense in a small area so homosexuality rates increased drastically as teh population grew...it works in modern times as well.....because of science and mor emodern views on things it may be easier to have children but still more difficult than just having sex

Tons of birth control. With many major religions standing against birth control, that's a problem. But that's what we need.

I'd also be in favor of taxing the crap out of anyone who has more than three kids, unless they are adopting or have twins or something.

Some people should be paid to not have children. Each society should set up the rules governing who is offered the option. That way it wouldn't be oppressive on any one group.

most of the growth is in 3rd world countries who have little or not government capable of doing anything about it. other nations like china give tax incentives to have less kids.
