yes, it can happen. You might even have some spotting.
What this is, is your body thinks it needs to have a period, but your prego hormones are saying no. This usually just happens during the first trimester.
Although you can get answers here I would enourage you to call your doctor or his nurse and ask them about it.
Take a deep breath, put up your feet this evening and take it easy
If you start to have what seems like a period call your doctor even if it in the middle of the night or go to an urgent care of emergency room asap.

Cramping is normal during the beginning stages of pregnancy. Bleeding, however is not. If you experience bright red bleeding, call your doctor asap. However, there is nothing a doctor can do to prevent a miscarriage under 16 weeks of pregnancy.
While your uterus is growing, your ligaments are under strain also. This causes cramping. You may experience cramping during the time that you would otherwise normally have your period.
My doctor always says - cramping, ok. Bleeding, not ok.
They gave me a "pregnancy info sheet" - which is still my bible that I carry in my purse. Doc also has a wonderful nurse that's always available to ask any of my many questions that I have weekly. I still call on a tuesday, if I can't wait for a friday appt.
Oh - also, make sure that you're drinking plenty of water. Constipation is a not-so fun side of pregnancy, which can also cause cramping!

A lot of times the "cramping" feeling is just your uterus stretching and growing for the baby. If you are bleeding, spotting or having severe cramps you should call your doctor right away. For your own peace of mind, you should call your doctor tomorrow and tell them how you are feeling. If there is any danger they will let you know or they may have you come in just to check everything out. Trust me, you will feel a lot of weird cramps and things that are completely normal.

No, having any cramping at 10 weeks of pregnancy is not normal. I am in the medical field, and I urge you to see a doctor. also you should be starting your prenatal vitamens. You also within a month also should consider a ultrasound. Hope all is well. LR.

If I were you, I would just see my physician. cramps can be the result of a number of things, so it's best to just have it checked out by your doctor. People get cramps for different reasons, so I wouldn't really trust what someone else considers normal. Don't get too worried, because I'm sure you're ok, but make sure you go to your doctor asap. You don't wanna take any chances.

Yes that is totally normal. Most women cramp all through their 1st trimester. After week 12 you should start to feel better. When you need to be concerned, is when the cramping gets unbearable and is accompanied by heavy bleeding (not just spotting)

http://www.justmommies.com/articles/cramping_during_pregnancy.shtml Look at this website. I'm 5 1/2 weeks pregnant and i've been having some cramps. I found out that they are ok as long as there is no bleeding. You should still call your doctor. Hope the website helps though.

yes some cramping is normal it is the uterus stretching i had it wiht my first and second. But you should always be cautious and call your doctor and discuss any other symptoms you may have. Just always have constant communication with your doctor to know what a normal cramping is and an abnormal cramp is . Good luck with your baby!!!!

I also had cramping at 10 weeks, I was terrified!! But the doctor told me as long as there wasn't any bleeding, it was fine.
It is probably just your uterus stretching. That can cause cramping.
But be sure and ask your doctor about it, if you have anymore concerns....
