Ok, dumb a** liberals who typically respond to such things with "There is smart and dumb in every race" should just shut up. You're input is not needed. Blacks in America were bred for physical work. It is recorded history and one only needs to but the average american black man next to his 76lb African counter part to see the obvious affects. Was intellegence neglected in this process? Could this explain why 2/3rds of all violent crime in america is commited by the race(blacks) that composes 31% of the population? www.cdc.org

They may have tried to weed out the sharper slaves, lots of evil crap went on back then. As to the crime thing, 90+% of our prison population is comprised of unwanted children. Our culture is diseased but things can be done to heal it. Unfortunately I don't think mankind is smart enough to make the changes needed to avoid its own doom.

actually, intelligence was sequestered, as it meant death to any slave that sought to better themselves through educating him/herself.

it was the advent of Social Darwinism during the Reconstruction period that the dominant culture (White People) felt it necessary to enlighten the world with the notion of assimilation into their mindset, instead of valuing the contributions that African-Americans had already brought to the culture from Africa - or any other ethnicity that was not WASP (White Ango-Saxon Protestant)

all races suffered to some degree from this assimalist mindset, but African-Americans carried the huge brunt of that. page after page of documented history by both Black & White scholars have shown that whenever African-Americans attempted to rise above their circumstances, they were always met with the most violent resistance from the dominant culture

but don't take my word for it, do your OWN investigation of truth. my only request is that you approach it with an open mind. the truth is the truth - no matter how you slice it.

That is a really dumb question. Even though I'm a "dumb *** liberal", I'm going to attempt to answer your question. What you choose to do with the information is, obviously, up to you. As they say, stupidity isn't chosen but ignorance is.

Being stupid has nothing to do with why the majority of people of color committ crimes. The crime rate has everything to do with poverty, social environment, illiteracy, a lack of positive role models, no parental support and other childhood neglect/abuse, the belief that one has nothing to lose so therefore crime and its penalties can't be worse than the current situation ... If you apply rational thought and some social awareness to your question you'd see the validity of my statement. Compassion and empathy also help.

There is a fundamental flaw in the genetic component of your argument. It ignores the sociological and environmental factors. There were laws preventing the education of slaves. There were also roughly 100 years of segregation in society including elementary, secondary, post secondary, and graduate schools following the end of the American Civil War. It is diffcult to eliminate this from your equation.

Also your claim that "Blacks" are 31% of the population is rather high. I would estimate you need to cut your population figures in half. That only strengthens your position concerning the high numbers of violent crimes committed by "Blacks".

I will not challenge the assertion that ignorance plays a role in a high percentage of violent crimes. If you compare the higher concentration of minorities (inner cites, etc.) with higher concentrations of "White" Americans of similar incomes, educations, job opportunites, etc., violent crime statistics are more in line.

This fact alone would lead us to apply a socio-economic origin to violent crime over forced breeding that ended over a century ago.

First of all, your website is wrong. Second of all, when I went to the correct website for the cdc, there's no crime statistics.

Compared with whites, blacks are nine times as likely to be arrested on robbery or murder charges, and about four times as likely to be arrested on assault, rape or car-theft charges, according to the study.

There's many ways to skewer statistics.
