Are you serious? That's pretty cool. He's from UCLA, right? And he gets to play in L.A.
He definitely will take some stress of the backcourt. He could give Smush Parker good rests, since Aaron Mckie has been on the injured list for forever.
Overall, I think it was an excellent pick (assuming that he wasn't part of some deal that'll trade him away) and I look forward to seeing him play with the Lakers.
EDIT:
Damn! I just read that Jordan Farmar has a 42 inch vertical! He's just like Smush, a dunking point guard!

I tried to post question about Farmar but it wasn't working so ya.
But here's what I think. I'm happy that the Lakers got Farmar, obviously since he's a good player. But I am sad that UCLA just lost their best player. But I still think that Farmar will be able to contribute to the Lakers.

Good? No. It was a great pick!!! A backup (soon to be starter) local boy from UCLA!!! Are u kidding? That was a great pick!! He can score, pass, handle and play D!! And he can dunk too! Yeah that was a good pick. The only bad part about that was that hes a local boy, there4 there will be pressure on him. Otherwise, that was a good pick by the lakers.

Good pick, for that part of the draft. Farmar knows how to play ball, and he has potential to be a solid NBA starter in a couple of years. He'll be able to make some sort of contribution this year, and he'll develop.

i think him (farmar my man!) going to the lakers would be a great fit for him, and the team as well. the lakers need a point guard. i also think that trading smush for the biggest fish in our lake, derek fisher would be great.

I really don't like that pick, they drafted Von Wafer out of FSU last year and he was eventually sent to the NBADL... I really don't think Farmer can help the Lakers... he's good but they need front court help... but on the other hand if he can give them decent minutes coming behind Smush Parker, it might work?

It's never good to pick up any guy who is sporting a 1980's fade. Call him Mc Hammer.

i hate the lakers, but at no. 26, he's a great pick that will fit into the triangle offence perfectly.
