Yes! It is a classic work of animation, a treasure, and I can't wait for it to be available on a DVD. Fantasia 2000 was interesting, as well, but disappointing in some respects. And they got to use computers to do what was originally done by hand on thousands and thousands of acetate cells. The artistry may never be surpassed!

This was a trail blazer, it was also lots of fun to watch and then re-watch as an adult. It really is a work of art and those who are spoiled with CGI today, do not always understand the monumental achievement Fantasia was in it's time.

I think it is one of Walt Disney's finest films. The way he combined great classical music pieces with extraordinary Disney cartoon work it is truly a masterpiece. I am honored to own it and I think he would be proud of Fantasia 2000 as well.

One of my all time Disney favorites. When I was a teen ager, long ago, I went to a drive in movie, but no one brought cars. We sat on the ground with blankets etc and enjoyed Fantasia in the great outdoors.

I actually think adults can enjoy it more than children. As a child I remembered that it bored me because of the lack of any sort of plot, but after growing up and finding an appreciation for classical music, I now find it to be a brilliant use of movement and color to accentuate the beauty of the classical pieces chosen for the movie. While its not something I could watch every day, I definitely enjoy it every once in awhile when I can sit down and just absorb it.

I am 48 years old. When I was a little girl, my mother would always take me to the movies to see Disney's stuff. She used me for an excuse because she loved them, and it was fine with me because it was a special treat. Fantasia was our favorite.
I had it for years in my home movie collection and just handed it down to my son for him to watch with his daughter (age 2). In fact I handed down the entire Disney collection that I had. They are amazing works of art. They don't make them like that anymore!!

The animation to Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor was great and the Night on Bald Mountain was amazing, but much of the stuff in the middle was too cutesy for my liking. Overall, though I would say I did enjoy it.

The first time I watched it, I couldn't watch Fantasia in it's entirety. It bothered me and somehow made me uneasy. However, I do like the movie now and I still have an anniversary edition on VHS.

It was such a big deal when I saw that film as a kid. I was so wide-eyed. Still a work of art and everyone should see it.
