i was just wondering why some people on here voice their opinion as liberally as they feel, but when someone says something they don't like then they get jumped on. my wife answered a questioned on here with her opinions and experience next thing we know she is bombarded with this one guy calling her all kinds of nasty names. so i just wondering what gives any you the right to get mad when someone says how they feel?

It's just ignorrance. Forgive him. He may not have the capacity to understand how inappropriate he is. With free speech comes the ugly side. Tell her that people like him may not be mature enough to get it. Thanks for being so supportive of her feelings.

If someone is calling your wife nasty names and whatnot, he is probably mad because he can't think of an intelligent argument against the points she has made. Don't be offended; consider it a victory.

We can not be thin skinned about anything that is said here. Rather then react, we must learn to respond. Sometimes that means don't comment on that right away. You have to realize everyone is not mature, just shake it off and continue to be yourself. Pray for the fools!

Nothing gives anyone that right. Anyone who does that, Christian or Not, is intolerant and rude and should completley be ignored. Unfortunatley, this board is FULL of people like that, to stick around, you have to have a thick skin.

That's just the way it is. We have to allow people to say what they want or we should not feel free to say what we want. (Golden rule variation?). Anyway, who cares what a complete stranger says? Chances are, they're just trying to ruffle your feathers. There are lots of sick people like that out here. Ignore them. Engaging them just fuels their fire.

Your wife has the right to express her opinion freely. It is rude to attack others personally but we are occasionally rude, crude and inconsiderate of others. Please do not let that deter you or her from participating vigorously in the expression of ideas. I have learned much from reading others' responses and their questions. Thank you all.
