I want to know if Snipes was offered the role of the character he made famous in the movies on the TV series that premiered on Spike Tonight.

And If he was, why did he turn it down.

Wesley Snipes had a number of well documented 'creative differences' with writer David Goyer during the filming of 'Blade 3'.
Plus, as an international action star, he probably makes far too much money in the feature film world. Starring in a 'Blade' tv series wouldn't be as lucrative.

As the 'Blade' the tv series is produced by Goyer, I seriously doubt that Wesley Snipes wanted anything to do with the show. He has a number of other projects to keep him busy.

I seriously doubt it. He makes too much money....you rarely see the big screen stars do the tv adaptation...i.e. Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Christy Swanson would have so turned down that role.

Probably, but not sure. If he was, he probably turned it down so he could pursue other movies and not get trapped playing one character forever....
