I think some people are too serious here and far to open to the web, then again they might not have anyone to trust so why not ask a bunch of faceless people with cool avatars to answer their life's woes? Or some might post just to see if someone answers their question (I once saw a girl here who asked why everyone hated her because no one answered her questions) .How stupid is that??

I think 90% is for fun or out of boredom, the other 10% is seriously asking

Mostly just for fun, I think. There are very legitimate Q's though, and they should be seen as such. If I don't know anything about it, I usually don't answer. I have been known to give my opinion somewhat strongly at times, and hope I don't offend anyone.

I think that it's both, because it is fun to ask and post questions, but you can find out anything you want to know and get real advice that is actually usefull and sincere.

Some are serious and some are kidding. It is never all of one or the other in most cases. Think about it. Why would all people be serious or not serious? Now I am being serious.

I think you get mostly what's really on their mind and part of the brain flatulence that should be allowed to dissipate into nothing-ness. It's here captured forever in the cyberspace museum of eternal weirdness, much to our chagrin.

Well I think it is half and half and sometimes you really can not tell who is serious and who is not. I try to pick out the questions that I think are for real.
