my sons staying with his father for the week and so I haven't called him his dad calls me and ask why I haven't called my son I got mad and told him that my son has a cell phone and that if he needs to talk to me he could call me, I don't need his dad calling me and telling me stuff ,so I hung up on him was that acting childish of me

Sure, it was a bit hcildish, but don't beat yourself up about it.

Is it possible that your son said something to his Dad about you not calling him? Kids can be like that, without even thinking about it. I do think you should be calling your son ... on his cell phone, not on his Dads phone. But that is just me. I think sometimes parents wait for the kids to, but the kids really need the parent to initiate it sometimes.

Anyway, you know your son best. And I agree, you don't need your ex calling you up. Don;t worry about it.

Yes, that was very childish of you. First of all, it is irresponsible for a mother not to want to contact her child nightly. Second, you don't need to compound the problem by acting so childish.
