I ahve a trojan that causes so many pop-up to come up and download things without my permission.

your actual problem is not the popups but what is causing them. you need to install a spyware remove (Ad-Aware and Spybot are two free ones I recommend). Those will kill the programs causing the pop ups. Then install Firefox, it will block pop ups that are caused by the sites you visit.

I just use Netscape Navigator, it has a pretty good popup blocker. I've been using it for over a year and have only had a couple popups from one website. Otherwise, it says it's blocked upwards of 1800 popups in the past year, and it's a free download.

i recently ordered stop with a big red stop sign and it takes care of viruses and trogans and has really made this computer do better.. i only ordered it for 3 months but i will renew it because it is really doing a good job...hope you can find it on the internet search...i have had to have infected cookies deleted and their was something attached to one of my games and they put it in quarantine.. but i like it when it says you computer is clean from virus and so forth...

go to www.microsoft.com and download the spyware blocker software. It will help with those nasty pop ups.

you should use google toolbar its free and a very good pop blocker
