My grandmother is visiting from Portugal. She's 72 years old and was left alone at my house when I went to work. She decided to clean my house, which by grandma standards needed some cleaning. She found where I keep my "special" brownies and decided to have one as she put the rest in the fridge. My sister then comes over to visit and finds grandma concious but motionless on the couch. Grandma could barely talk, complaning that she cant feel her body. Fearing for her life, she begs my sister to go take her to the hospital. As my sister grabs a bottle of water on the way out for grandma, she finds the wrapper on the floor and then calls me to let me know whats going on. What should I do? Will grandma be o.k.? Should I tell the doctors what the problem is and risk going to jail. I make over $250,000 a year and this could put my job in jepordy. Help, please. It would be greatly appreciated.

Don't tell a soul. No one needs to know. Your grandma will be alright. She just got high for probably the first time, that's all.

I think you should tell the doctors what happened so that they can give her the treatment she needs and also so that they can explain to her that it's nothing serious. She's probably worried that something serious is wrong with her now. Don't be selfish, don't let her suffer from worries over this.

The doctors will probably find out eventually what she got anyway, and my guess is that you'll be in less trouble if you tell them yourself instead of letting them find out on their own. You didn't give it to her and you didn't intend for this to happen. I don't know how punishments are where you live, but they're hardly that strict for possessing a special brownie...? Just get rid of the rest before you tell anyone.

Good luck. I hope your grandma will feel better soon.

Definitely tell the doctors and or nurses what she ingested. The last thing u should B worring about is yourself. It's the right thing to do. They need all pertinent information. It's not like you gave it to her intentionally. Let the medical staff treating her know, ASAP!

Go to the hospital NOW, if U can. Let us know how she is.
