I am 37 1/2 weeks pregnant and My baby is a VERY active one but lately when he moves around its starting to get painful, should I be concerned, because they havent checked at the doctors about the level of amniotic fluid and I'm afraid that there is not a lot and thats why I can feel his kicks so much

I would say that it is painful because your baby is bigger and stronger - I remember when I was about 2 or 3 weeks from delivering, I felt constant pain under my rib cage because my daughter's feet were always hitting me there

I think that everything is okay, but at your next weekly check up, you can always ask the doctor just to be safe and make yourself feel better

Good luck with your little one!

My son was very active too. Especially when I didn't want to be. Typical baby! LOL... Anyway, the baby is just taking up alot more room in a small space. So you are actually getting kicked in the ribs, side, stomach and where ever else. He's pressing on your bladder, pelvis, ribs, side.... The little bugger is just trying to get comfy. So unless you've been having some leakage problems or bleeding I wouldn't worry about it too much. At your next doctor appointment mention it to the doctor just to be safe. But more than likely he'll tell you basically the same thing. And tell you to try to reposition yourself so you can be as comfortable as possible during these last weeks.

No, your just getting big kicks because baby is so big. The last month they grow the fastest, about a pound a week, and the kicks become more stern and steady. But if you are concerned, and if they are really painful, go see your doctor. There is no point in worrying about it. Or try research on the internet.

maybe its painful because babies kicks can get up under yor ribs, hips ad uncomfortable places like that, especially being so afr along because they can hardly move. if u have had a slow leak however u should check your amniotic fluid levels. if not your r probably fine, maybe you baby is changing position aswell that can be pain ful. just ask at your next visit im sure u will be fine

The baby is just getting bigger , when I was pregnant with my last child, towards the end of the pregnancy she would kick and move to the point that I was doubled over. Good Luck. and remember EPIDURAL.

It's most likely more painful because he's bigger. He doesn't have as much room to move, and you definitely can feel the kicks of a bigger, stronger baby.
I'm 34 weeks, and they've been getting bad.

sweetie you are near term and the baby has mostly turned into the birth position. his tiny little feet are jabbing into your ribs....his head is pressing on your pelvis. as long as it is not consistent pain and there is no bleeding...enjoy and relax during these last couple of weeks. you have a child about to be brought into the world.

He is kicking your internal organs and bones. Of course it is uncomfortable. The worst is when one of those little feet gets under your ribs. Ugh. It is normal though. Lucky you it didn't start hurting earlier, and you don't have to much time left. Try and enjoy it and don't worry too much. :)
