Some people don't like them at all,,others love them. I was just wondering what your opinion about them is. I like them myself.

I think they've done an excellent job at exercising their right to be absolute morons!

i love Dixie Chicks! For those of you who don't like them because of things they said, your telling me you have never said anything bad about a politician?
Maybe they shouldn't have said it publicly, but each person has the right to have their own opinion.

I love them! For those of you who don't like them because of their political comments WAKE UP...freedom of speech is the FIRST amendment in the USA! Watch just 5 minutes of TV and you will hear at least one political joke...they were just persecuted by their redneck, bible-thumping fans who don't understand that people are entitled to their own opinions!

I like their music, but they are getting a little to outspoken about their politics. I understand that they have a right to free speech and can say what they want..but they are starting to violate their fans' right to free speech by saying that their fans shouldn't listen to people like Toby Keith & Reba McIntyre. I think they overstepped their boundaries and that has really made me lose interest in them, as people & musicians!

I think that their latest album is their best yet. I think the response to "the incident" was ridiculously overblown and they were unfairly crucified. I generally think that celebrities should not get too political, but the remark itself was fairly tame and it's silly for people to get riled up about it when there are so many more important things to be worrying about.

Love their music, agree with their politics. They have a right to think & say what they believe just like everyone else in this country. Anyone else has the right to disagree. Let's keep it that way.

The few songs I heard of theirs sounds nice. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Thumbs down on the smudge campaign against them.

I think a lot of people who are shunning them are really outright dumb. Apparently they're not allowed to have their own opinion. Apparently if you are not a Bush/War supporter, you're not allowed to sing. You can't deny the fact that they are good musicians - do people really have to take their beliefs against their music. That's a little judgemental isn't it.

I spent a long time in my country's uniform so that our citizens can say what they believe.

An old saying applies: "Free speech means nothing if we only protect the speech of which we approve."

I like their music, and I defend the right of any citizen to express their view without repercussion.

Cheers

I bought one of their CDs out of solidarity when they caught all that flack for talking about the President. I liked it OK, but my wife didn't. We recently heard a song I liked on TV identified as one of theirs (you know, when they say at the end of a TV show, "Tonight's episode contained music by..."), and my wife suggested we should buy that album.

I like them as performers, but really I think that people in the public eye should keep thier political views to themselves.
