i was wondering if anyone knows how to splice a 3.5mm headset into and 2.5mm headset?

i was wondering if anyone knows how to splice a 3.5mm headset into and 2.5mm headset?

on the 3.5 there is obviously a left and right(blck w/copper & red w/copper) and on the 2.5 there is copper, blue, red, and white one of them is for the microphone and i dont know which one! can some one help me?

Why are you doing this? Can you just go to Radio Shack and get what you need?

Don't splice! They have adaptors you can buy for cheap! Just search for 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter and you will find tons online and probably right there in your local electronics store too!
