With kids, it is sometimes easier to find other moms with same age kids to make friends. You can join a church group, craft class, gym, or even the library. Friends are so very important. What happened to friends you had prior to being a mom. You should never not have friends even if you are a parent. You have to put your foot forward and be open to meeting new people, talk to people and have a approach that is something others would want to be around. It is NEVER too late for a friend.

You need a life out side of being a mom and wife. Take a class at the YMCA or local college, or volunteer somewhere or get a part time job or join a gym for starters. Just talk to everyone you meet and if you click with anyone, try making plans like going to lunch or taking walks or making playdates with your kids and their kids. Look up some old friends and see what they are up to. Good luck.

I am age 54. I have friends that are over 90, and I have friends that are 11. You are too old when you are dead!
How to find friends; be friends with your children's friends. Offer to take them to the movies with your children. Then make friends with their parents. That is what my wife and I do.We go to the movies with our son and his friends, invite the parents to come along.
We also take mini-vacations for 1-3 days where we invite our son's friends and their parents, to come along and share the costs of the vacation. Off we go with a group of people, all enjoying each other and having a blast!
Forget the good-old-times. When you get new friends, the time you spend with them will be BETTER than the old days.
Want to meet some very interesting guys? Join a gym. Join parents without partners, etc.

If your children are of school age, you can get a part-time job or a volunteer position - there you will meet people. You could also consider taking a class at a community college (plenty of people there). Do you not know your neighbors? Can you call any of your old friends just to shoot the breeze? What about family members? Surely they can introduce you to people they know.

You're never too old!! Just be nice to everyone.....try to coordinate things with some of your kids friend's mothers....or coworkers.....get yourself out there! Heck, even posting on a board online for your area could help you find someone that you have things in common with to meet for coffee or go for a walk from time to time........
