I was wondering what products that aren't that expensive would help with my dry skin.

A creamy cleanser (I like Neutrogena lotion because it's oil free and gentle), and Olay Complete Care moisturiser, which has an SPF to protect your skin from the sun. Don't bother with a toner, they strip your skin.
When cleansing, apply your cleanser and massage in, then wipe your skin over with a damp warm washcloth. This will exfoliate without drying. Rinse the cloth and wipe again, splash your face with warm water, then pat your skin dry. Apply your moisturiser, massaging in. Don't apply to damp skin, it doesn't trap the moisture, it just dilutes the skin.
This routine is the only one that has ever worked for me, my skin is very reactive. Now I never have flare ups, and only the odd spot once a month.
Neutrogena lotion is £1.49 from Savers, but a little more expensive (no more than £5) anywhere else. Olay cream is about £3-£6, depending on where you go. I would say Savers have the best deals.
For your body, I would go with Dove Triple Moisturising Body Wash with a body puff, as it won't dry your skin, then dry off and apply Dove Body Silk moisturiser. Hope this helps.

I'm a firm believer in all-natural skin products except for the essentials. To get rid of the dry skin, i think you should try making a mask for your face. Theres this mask that i love. The ingredients are: Olive oil, Yoghurt and a lemon. I don't have any specific amounts for the yoghurt and oil, just put as much as you need. It'll lighten your face, and after you're done, use some vaseline jelly. It cures THE DRIED areas ever. Hope I helped.

Baby oil is excellent and it is not expensive. It will help with the dry skin and make your skin softer. I recommend putting it on after you bath or shower.
Also the way that you dry you skin is a factor. You should pat with a towel and not rub. The rubbing helps get rid of the moisture.

Dry skin is usually caused by a vitamin deficiency. If you don't take vitamins, then you might want to start on a good multi-vitamin. You can add a vitamin A supplement to the multi as "A" is your best source for skin health. When you buy the gel caps, you can poke them and squeeze the liquid and put on your face to help with acne and scarring. That's what they use in "Retin A" products that have salacylic acid in them.

Baby oil is good, rub it on wet skin after a shower or bath, then pat yourself dry with a towel. Use a soap that is made of natural ingredients, I use duru natural, the chemicals in soaps and shower gels dry out your skin. After sun gel with aloe vera in it is very good for combatting dry skin too you can use it on your face too. Some oats wrapped in a piece of cloth placed in the bath softens your skin. A body lotion with coco butter is good for winter time. For your face use the natural soap, a light mosturiser in the warmer months and such as oil of olay complete care. In the colder months use one that will protect your face from the cold like neutrogena.

well, i suggest that if your skin is flakey to use a loofa or something to buff the dry skin. And then go to your doctor and ask for quarterzone cream. it gets rid of dry patches within a few days. also vaseline body mosturizer works really well too!

Every time you shower or bathe, don't dry completely. Apply any good lotion while your skin is still moist. The wet skin plus lotion should improve dry skin. Try it!

There's a really thick cream called "Eucerin" that you can get at Walgreens and it's not expensive. It's really thick like cold cream but it will help with severely dry skin.
