it was reported today that Marc Cuban and Dan Marino (both Pittsburgh natives) were intrested in buying the Penguins but still intend to keep them in Pittsburgh. How do you feel about this? I think they will be able to turn the team around and turn them into a playoff team

come on marc cuban would be the best possible thing for not only the penguins but the NHL. look at what he did with the mavs. does any one remember what a joke they were when he bought them. Not to mention lets get a little pub for the NHL... Immagine what he would do to that prick betman I am salivating just thinking about it.

The Penguins need to stay in Pittsburgh. I am a firm believer in the fact that it would be a very bad decision to move the Penguins out of Pittsburgh.

Also, I was very excited to see that Cuban and Marino were interested in purchasing the Penguins. I think that together they could turn this team around. I really wish these PA politicians would back the Isle of Capri deal also. I mean in a press conference they held the board said that they wanted more of the Pittsburgh applicants to put up money for a new arena. Umm hello someone is already doing that. It makes me feel like they 1) don't want to give this to the Isle of Capri 2) don't want to lose campaign money from the other applicants and 3) are trying to suck this for all it's worth.

Well, I don't know much about Cuban. I've heard some bad things though. But Dan Marino, yes definitely. I love the idea that both of these guys are in it just to keep the Pens in Pittsburgh. I really don't care how it gets done, I just want them to stay in Pittsburgh. I am a huge fan of the Pens, and I would hate to see them go. Whoever that guy is that wants to move them to Kansas City needs to take a hike, and I hope that the Pens aren't even considering him. I have become a little more optimistic now that there are some more guys stepping up to the plate that want to keep the Pens in their rightful place.

As much as I hate Marc Cuban, I have to say I think it would be a great thing for both Pittsburgh and the entire NHL. He brings a sternness to ownership that will be needed to turn things around for Pittsburgh. Having Marino with him will certainly help get a lot of good press.

Read that in today's paper--Mark Cuban would certainly be a interesting addition to the NHL.. I sure hope they get the new arena through Isle of Capri; I didn't think much of what I saw of the other options and suspect the Penguins don't, either.
I am a long-time Penguins fan. Though I live in Denver and appreciated when we got the Avalanche, I still hate it when ANY team moves. I was a very longtime Expos fan, but I just can't get the same feeling for the Nationals.

Anything that is intended to keep the pens in pittsburgh is great... I know that there are pens fans out there somewhere who really love their team and i love seeing them play considering they have more cups than my team!

What makes me happy about this is that he will keep the team in Pittsburgh no matter what. But as for turning the team around, we don't need him for that when we've got Crosby, Malkin, Staal, and Fluery around.

What are you all talking about. I bought the team for 20 bux and a bag of chips the other day.

Flyers fan here. Although I never liked the name "PENGUINS" I have always admired Mario Lemieux and would hate to see the Pens move from our state. I hope they never move.

I heard about that...I don't care who owns the Pens, I just want to see them move to Portland, Seattle, KC or Winnipeg
or get a new arena
