The Palestinian refugees are some of the poorest people on earth, it's a travesty. Kicked off their land and out of their homes by Europeans (white) people who just happened to be Jews. Yeah the Holocaust sucked but what's happened to the Palestinians I think is as bad.

No, we should not continue our support. We never should have given it in the first place, and here's why:

If Israel is a sovereign nation, then it needs to act like one & quit hiding behind America's skirts like a bunch of scared children [granted, most children aren't allowed to play with nuclear weapons, but that's the answer to a whole other question].

Also, I'm sick & tired of Isreal's oppression of Palestine being defended by America, a land that [allegedly] does not condemn people based on their religon. It's reall quite hypocritical of our leaders to even consider it.

If, on the other hand, they would care to become America's 51st state then I would be Happyto see them afforded all the rights, freedoms, and protections that come with being part of the union.

Bottom line: Sink or swim Isreal, and let history judge you as it has the rest of the world.

...I for one couldn't care less...why anyone would claim such a gods forsaken place as the middle east as a 'holy land' is beyond my comprehension...

Stop.
Think.
Resist.

Yes, we should continue to support Israel, at all costs. The Palestinians only have their selves to blame they have been given tons on money from around the world, and their leaders have squandered it for weapons, and for them selves Arafat pocketed a lot of money they could have built to nations, with the money they have been given. But since they voted in Hammas a terrorists group as their leaders, the United States have stoped giving money and so has other nations. Palestinians are Arabs and the other Arab Nations have plenty of land to give them, but they won't because they want Israel gone also. The Jews were their long before the Palestinians, where do you think Moses took the Jews when they left Egypt, to the land God promised them Israel. Then God scattered them from one end of the earth to the other for their disobedience, the Jews were in every nation, then God promised to put them back into their land, and he did in 1948 when Israel became a state, and Jews from all over the world have gone home back to Israel. Study history and the bible then you will no.

Most definately. The Israelites are a very important bunch of people and need our friendship as much as we need theirs in that region. I say we don't do near enough to support them. And I am not speaking from any religous views at all, I have none when I talk about modern Israel. Af far as I'm concerned they stopped having anything to do with the christian god 2,000 years ago.

However, The Palestinians need to be pushed back into Egypt or Lebanon, let them carve out a nation in one of those countries.

Israel was created by a UN mandate in 1948. Most countries in the world supported this at the time. Almost 60 years later Israel is a democracy and an ally of the US. What do you suggest?

No. But of course we will continue to support the idea that we must support her, since Right Wing Christian want Christ to return and the Bible says, Christ will not return until the Temple is rebuilt. That is why we help with the new wall (fence) around Israel. That is why we are killing the men of Iraq and Afganistan and next Iran because they will flood as an angry rioting army when the Mosque is torn down to make way for the Temple of Solomon.

It's all a matter of who is or isn't an ally.

I have never blamed the Palestians for being upset about the creation of Israel. And I believe if the world would just recognize Palestine as a state then that would at least be an enormous start to peace in that region.

We give to the Palestinians too, so don't feel too sorry for them. The only difference is they skim it off the top and use it for luxury items for their government leaders. Hell Arafat's wife lived in absolute luxury. This money was from all the countries who are trying to help the Palestinians. Well we need to see the Palestinians do a little something to help themselves.

Go back and study your history. The Palestinians were never "Kicked off their land". And more recently they were offered a fantastic deal to create their own country but Yassar Arafat decided it was better to let more of his people die in suicide attacks then compromise on Jerusalem. So to hell with them. Ever time they Israelis try to negotiate with them they spit in their face and continue deliberately killing their civilians.

I'm not so sure - what have we gained from our unconditional support of Israel? Aside from everyone in the Middle East hating us for being hypocritical (Israel can have nukes, can commit "terror" acts etc) - our ties with Israel haven't brought us anything.

You aren't going to get an objective answer either way, since people will answer according to their biases.

Israel is the only democracy in the ME. Palestinians would just install an Islamofascist regime anyways so they deserve whatever hard comings they get!
