Next year for school I'd love to go for the whole punk look cause Im into rock music. What clothing brands would I use to pull it off?

hot topic is the farthest thing from punk rock. and punk rock IS NOT just a clothing style. how do you pull it off? be real and DIY all clothes.
a guy walked up to me and says "whats punk"
i kick over a trash can and say "THATS PUNK!"
he kicks over a trash can and says "thats punk??"
and i say "NO, THATS TRENDY!!!"
do you get it now?
and you'd better know some good old underground punk bands if you don't want your a** beat

I agree with tybardy, punk was ruined by people who thought punk was just a style. I don't know why people think that if you go to hottopic and get a t-shirt with a band on it makes you punk. I think Punk is the state of mind, and the belief of it, and how you take part in it to get the message heard about society and the world today.

1. Brand doesn't matter. Matter of fact, you shouldn't use any big-name brands for punk.
2. Wear colors that clash. Or, just wear black.
3. Do something weird with your hair.
4. Learn to sneer, and practice in front of the mirror. Develop your own individual sneer. Your sneer says a lot about who you are.
5. Wear at least one thing that resembles a skull or has a picture of a skull on it. A skull with a mohawk is even better.

Huge difference between "punk" & "rock". Don't buy into the whole hot topic thing. That's for posers!!! Be yourself, wear what you like, what you feel expresses who you are & makes you comfortable.

Not sure of the brand of clothes, but the mohawk with a little color of the ends of your hair are soooo cute on younger black girls, if I were younger I would do it, my daughter is thinking of doing the same thing and I'm behind her all the way.

Go to Hot Topic and dye your hair pink. Or just buy a whole bunch of band tees of Ebay.

U should reall y try dark eye liner & eyeshadow( 4 ex. a dark green) & dark red lipstick w/ a skull & cross bone shirt & ripped pants w/ black boots( u have 2 have something pierced unless u wanna look "classy-punk" lol)

Just because your into rock music doesn't mean your punk!!!! Why dont you just be yourself and dress normally if you want people to know the real you.....why should you dress like something your not ...or something you want to be ???????? BE YOURSELF

Shoes: Tattered converse, doc martens
Hair: Messy (purposely)
Top: Ripped t shirt/ leather jacket
Jewelry: Spiked brecelets and necklaces
Pants: tight leather pants, tapered jeans.
Materials most commonly used: leather, rubber and vinyl.

you know, its people like you who RUINED punk. But if you are serious and want to look truely punk, you cannot shop anyware but savers, salvation army, goodwill and put together the most outragous outfit possible
